"Buy my Book. Buy my Book."

E3 2005 Review

Ah, its that time of year again. The weather is getting nicer, Flowers are blooming, Birds are singing...And I'm stuck in the house waiting for the E3 Coverage to be posted on the net. *Edit* I wrote this two weeks ago, I couldn't post it on the Forum, sorry for the delay.

Yes, its my Second Annual extensive E3 coverage...of...the stuff I want to tell you about. E3 was a week later this year then it was last year...how curious. Obviously this years big news is going to be about Xbox 360 and perhaps the other two Next-Generation Consoles.

Good News:

Xbox 360: Bill Gates has set out to prove that Xbox is looking to become a household name with the 360. The things a Monster. Plus, All the Games shown were only running at 1/3rd the power of the finished hardware. Its white, Wireless and Sleek. I'll be first in line when it hits stores. It's also looking to have a great lineup of Launch titles too.

Dead Rising (Xbox 360): Oh man, Its Dawn of the Dead the Game! Capcom is giving Zombie Games another swift kick to the pants in this one. Hundreds of Zombies on screen at once, Character Interaction with tons of Objects in the Mall. Your only objective is to Survive.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Xbox 360): One of the best looking Games shown at E3. I can't imagine how good this thing is going to be. Even Morrowind with better graphics would do it for me, but this...!

Saints Row (Xbox 360): GTA Done right. Developed by Volition, the folks behind The Punisher and Red Faction. (not to be confused with Red Fraction, the Communist Math Game) Create-A-Character, Online, Custom Soundtracks, MP3's Player...ME WANT 360!

Serious Sam 2 (Xbox): Don't think I forgot about ya, Sam. The sequel to the Game top Critics have called "Kick Booty" and "A True Classic". (well, Brian and I count as 'Top Critics'...I Guess) Bigger and Better with more Weapons, Levels and Enemies. Plus, Vehicles this time around. Seriously.

Winback 2 (Xbox): The biggest surprise for me was the announcement of a Sequel to 1999's Winback for N64 (Which was re-released in 2001 on PS2). I loved the first game and can't wait to get the Sequel.

Other Good Looking Games: Condemned, Indigo Prophecy, Incredible Hulk, Ultimate Spider-Man, Kirby for Gamecube, Marvel Nemesis, Prince of Persia 3, Half-Life 2, Gears of War, Pac-Man World 3, Kameo, Namco X Capcom, Spore, Tony Hawks American Wasteland, Quake 4, Gauntlet...

Bad News:

PS3 Demos Reportedly Not Real-Time: Just as they did with the Playstation 2, Sony is bending the truth an awful lot. Now, I'm not saying that the games woln't look like that...They possibly could, but All I'm saying is that the only one that was real time (Unreal 2007) didn't look as good as Gears of War. I don't like being lied to, but its not the first time Sony has done this.

PS3 Controller: What Fwik'!? I've read all the Boomerang and Batarang Jokes...but honestly, it looks silly. I hope they change it. Sony realizes people are going to have to use that to control games, Right?

G4TechTV: Their E3 Special made me literally angry. I had to turn off the TV or else I would have burst a capalarie.

Other Crappy Looking Games: Amped 3 (They made it like SSX), Unreal Tournament 2007 (Good Graphics, Same Game), A Boy and His Blob, (the Game is suddenly 300 times less funny when the Blob isn't 8-Bit)...Wow..good year..Can't think of anything else.

'What Da?!?' News:

Revolution Downloadable NES Games: Ya know, this is a great Idea, but how much will they cost exactly? Knowing Nintendo (Which I do) they'll be 20-50 bucks a piece. Hey, don't look at me (as in, my text) like I'm (as in, its) crazy, they charge that for the GBA Releases of old NES Games. Great Idea, its not your idea, but I liked it when I ordered Live Arcade.

Revolutions 'Controller': I shudder to think what its going to be. Heat Activated Armpit Sensors? Lickable Controllers? Voice Activation? ("No, you dunce, I said JUMP! NOT HUMP!") Two Cans and some String? Well, whatever it is, Nintendo ain't talkin'. Well, nothing could be worse then The Activator for Genesis...except...The Power Glove.

Perfect Dark Zero: (Xbox 360) I know it wasn't shown at E3, but I caught the craptacular MTV Special and saw the 'Mad Sick Tightness' that is Perfect Dark Zero. Does it look bad? In its current form, Yes. I hope it looks a lot better by the time it comes out. Oh yeah, and from now on, its known as Mrs. Halo, starring Mistress Cheif. Oh, you know it looked just like Halo 2.

A great E3. (The first day anyway, it was real slow afterwards) Better then last year by far. Three new Consoles revealed, tons of Great Games. Winback 2, man, that's all I'm sayin'.

Accursed Forum!

Well, since my forum server never lets me post messages, I figured I might as well find a different way to post nonsense. Blogs are it, as my Dad would say 'The Big New Thing'. Well no, wait, thats Movieoke....and Video Pop-Ups.

Alright, so I'm probly gonna start posting here from now on, unless the Forum Server gets its act together.
